Stoneware platter made by hand from a slab of white clay.
Shaped over a mould, cut and smoothed with a rubber kidney. Coated with a black slip and decorated using sgraffito.
Fired once when dry, then signed and waxed on the base. The piece is then dipped into a glossy transparent glaze. It is then placed back in the kiln for one final 1240 degree centigrade firing.
Dishwasher and microwave safe though discouraged for longevity.
