Stoneware decoration made by hand from a slab of speckled stoneware clay. Cut from a hand rolled slab, smoothed, finished and allowed to dry slowly under wooden boards for a couple of weeks to prevent warping.
Fired once to 1000 degrees celsius then stamped, waxed, and dipped into a glossy honey glaze. Decorated by hand using oxides and the piece is then ready for its 1240 degree glaze firing.
Finished with a burgundy red satin ribbon and a gold foiled keepsake box.
