Stoneware storage jar made by hand from a lump of white clay, thrown on the wheel by hand. Fired once when dry, painted by hand using stains and oxides and fired again to fix. The piece is then signed, waxed, and coated in a transparent glaze and placed back in the kiln for one final 1230 degree centigrade firing.
