Earthenware dish made by hand from a slab of terracotta clay. Shaped over a mould, cut and smoothed with a rubber kidney, then painted with white and coloured slip ready for decoration with a ceramic pencil when bisqued. The piece is then signed, waxed, and coated in a transparent glaze and placed back in the kiln for one final 1080 degree centigrade firing.
